67 Delmont fuel sending unit

Hello,

Has anyone been able to find a replacement fuel sending unit for a '67 Delmont?

I just cannot find one online.

I found a place to rebuild my existing unit (TriStar Radiator in NY), but I was hoping to have the option of installing a new one.

Anyone have luck with a rebuilt unit?

Please advise... any help is appreciated!

Thank you,

Bill

Bill, sending units are really pretty simple, just a potentiometer setup attached to a float. On my '46 project I had to have the fuel tank re-built and I checked the sending unit myself. It still read accurately so I was good to go. You might have yours checked by someone that can do that for you. This assumes it hasn't been damaged by corrosion or the float is no longer bouyant. Also, welcome to our site.

i will have my mechanic remove the tank and take a look at the unit.

hopefully, the float is still in working order!
