Most likely yes. Don Monroe up in Tacoma WA did my carb for my 55. He has a lot of stuff and may be able to help out. He usually has an add in the back of "Oldsmobile to Rockets" NAOC newsletter.

He does rebuilds, and has a limited inventory of carbs. His worked very well on my car. Just a 2-barrel for me.

PM me if you need his contact info.

I have one on the bench that a friend rebuilt for my 54 and it never idled correctly. I rebuilt the one that came on my 54 and it worked fine. If you are interested send me a PM.

Thanks

I have a friend that has operated a repair shop close by that has probably 100 (4 Barrel carbs) under a long workbench. If you haven't found one give me the number of your carb, and I will check and see if he has one for a core. I just let one go when I sold my '55, but I sent a big box of extra parts when we shipped the car to North Carolina. Larry

The 4GCs are interchangeable. On the Rochesters the biggest difference is that the 1956 version has an auxiliary throttle valve assembly on the secondaries which helps to not overload the engine with more throttle than it can use at low RPMs. The earlier ones don't have this.

Here's a link to some 4GC manual pages that may be of some use. If you click on the "A pdf version is available here" link, the last 5 pages deal with 54-56.
