Might anyone know of a replacement wiper motor for a 1955 olds 88 that is an electrical unit? or might one from a '55 checy work? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

A 55 chevy will not bolt up, close but no cigar. I was about to do this conversion because I was told that it was a direct fit, it is not. If you can cut weld you can make it work. My advice is to get a Newport industries unit and you will never look back. I have had to use mine 25 times in the last week alone and I a'm so glad I switched to electric. Do a search on electric wipers on this site there are a few tricks that will save you some grief if you decide to go that way.
