Removed the rear main seal on 324. Never seen a 2 piece rear main seal flattened out like this before.

That is how rope seals look with time on them.

If you aren't handy with rope seals there is a neoprene replacement that works better for some people. It's a job I don't like doing twice... Tedd

Yes I reinstalled a 2 piece neoprene rear main seal. You're right, not something you'd want to do over again.

Kinda like the oakum and lead joints on sewer pipes years ago. Not fun.
