'54-'56 Muffler Options
'54-'56 single exhaust applications used P/N 564915. My '55 has an incorrect muffler and it's banged up from a previous someone bottoming out. I know Waldron's exhaust probably has one. I don't have to be 100% NOS ( https://oldsobsolete.com/products-pa...ler-gm-564195/ ), but curious what the dimensions are? This one for a '55 Chevy sure looks awfully close if not the same. https://www.partsgeek.com/xl3dc1x-ch...r-muffler.html
My car is not concours so I wouldn't mind putting in a Walker aftermarket one. $60 beats whatever Waldron's is going to want.

I bought the Walker its 27" long and mine has a 24" body, i'll make it work. Better when the exhaust shop doesnt have to add pipe.
$70 bucks to my door, can't complain there.

The concourse thing probably won't matter, sound is probably the most important thing to you, and everyone likes something different, few judges look under your car to criticize or take points away. Last time I took my car to a concourse and received a third place, no one even noticed that my car had dual mufflers,(55 didn't come with dual mufflers), no points deducted...Tedd
