394 Timing cover differences - early or late engine?

I have a 1963 394 engine in my 1957 Oldsmobile 2 door Super 88. The timing cover on the engine has a leaking bottom water outlet that I had to use JB weld to try and repair enough so I could keep the lower hose from leaking. I've been on the look out for a replacement but I've been told I need a 1963 or 1964 timing cover. Those seem very hard to find but the older 1961 and 1962 seem to be more plentiful. What is the difference between these two timing covers besides the different lower water outlets? Thanks.

The 63 / 64 timing cover is completely different than the earlier 49 thru 62 iron cover.
The front of the 63 / 64 block is different, so the covers can't be interchanged.

Try our member deadds, he had a couple of 394's he had pulled apart for parts.
He may have one.

Thanks so much for the information and recommendation. I've spoken to deadds and he is checking. Thanks again.
