1955 Olds Motor Mounts

Is the front motor mount on these cars a two piece system or a one piece? When I removed my engine there was an upper an lower like a 53 piece but when I ordered a new mount for a 55 it was just one piece. Just want to make sure the right mount was sent.

looks the same on my 54,Looks to be a 2 piece set up with a bracket mounting to the engine and a rubber dampner (for lack of proper word) mounting to the frame and to the engine bracket. I have yet to pull my short block so I cant say for sure. Fusick catalog shows the rubber mount portion only. Hope this helps.

You should be able to reuse the metal cup portion of your mount. If not, they seem to be all over eBay.

If memory serves, it's actually three pieces; the rubber mount, the steel cap that goes over it, and the bracket that attaches to the block. I'm not sure I'm seeing your photo correctly. Are there, or were there, nuts on the studs holding the bracket to the mount?
