1954 “Trunk lock cover” for a Ninety Eight

Hello, I’m looking for a “Trunk lock cover” for my 1954 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight – 4 door Sedan. (see pic.)
Can’t find it on the web and not even Fusick knows how to get it.
I would very appreciate if somebody could help.
I'm not sure whether someone has taken it as a souvenir, or maybe I lost it while driving.
Anyway, would be great to get it back on the Car, someday.
Many Thanks in advance,
Monaco

Good luck in your search. I will make it point to look on our local craigslist for 54 98 Olds to see if a parts car turns up that has one. Anyone with one would likely want to sell either the whole emblem or whole trunk lock assembly. If so are you willing to buy more than just the cover to get the lock cover?
Maybe other guys looking at this post would look on their local or regional craigslist to see if there is a parts car that has the needed part and put you in touch with the seller.

There's a auto junkyard in Denton, Texas that has a '54 "98" with a good trunk lid shown on their site(CTCAutoRanch.com) .It's showing the part that you need.Their #is 940-482-3007 ! You might just give them a call and hope that they will quote a price on the lock cover, the whole emblem ,or surely they would price the complete trunk, and just ship the part that you need. Best of luck, let me know if it works out. Larry

CTC Auto Ranch has lots of old cars and I know they have several mid 50's Oldsmobiles. Expect to pay $$$$$.

If you have the only one in existence it's probably worth "big bucks",but I know they are famous for hard to find parts. Larry

I think they sell most of their stuff on the internet. With all the 50's and 60's American cars in Sweden, Australia and other countries, they could be doing a good business. They have been in business a long time. If you have the only one of something wanted, it is going to affect price.

Sorry Guys, I was quite busy the last few Days.
But now I ‘m with you again ;-) Larry, thx for the message.
First of all, thank you all for the responses, helpand information’s.
Yes, redoldsman, I’m from Bavaria – unfortunately this(and some language problems, as well) makes it not easier to get on that kind of Part’s.
Larry/Jerry/Ted - you are right, is for a 1954 NinetyEight and it is the only year and Model with this cover.
Anyway, I will get in touch with the CTCAutoRanch. Itseems they have the trunk lock cover in Stock.

To all of you, already today, I wish you a MerryChristmas and a Happy New Year.
Thx, Monaco

Certainly I did not mean to incinuate anything was wrong with Bavaria. My point was it is a long way off and that might be part of the problem. My apologies if you were offended. I would never want that.

Hi Larry,
No problem! I didn’t felt offended at all.
I’m happy if I can find the right words and don’t offend some of you Guys!

Back to the Lock Cover, waiting for an answer from“ctcautoranch”. So wait and see, if they sending me a quote.
By the way Larry, you are from TX too, may you go out for a cruise and passing by ;-) Just kidding!! :-)
Wouldn't spend a fortune for the cover. But it would look good on that (almost) perfect car.
