I just bought a '50 88 Club Coupe with a split windshield, too. I always thought the '50 had a one-piece but the title says 1950 on it. Do you know when they began production with the one-piece?

 

Welcome. I moved your question to it's own thread rather than resurrecting a four year old thread. Early 1950s came with the split windshield. The change to one-piece was a mid-year change. I don't have the exact date of the changeover.

 

Whether a one-piece, or single, a very gorgeous Oldsmobile, one of my all time favorites. Wish (I know, I know) I still had mine from 1954-55. Fantastic, and F-A-S-T!

 

Aron, I just found out yesterday that the original 303 V8 does run and sounds great! The fuel system needs replacing but the 4V carb (I'm assuming this is an add-on by a previous owner) just needs rebuilding. Next step is to delve into the hydromatic and see if that still works, too. Then the master cylinder and brakes need repair. Then I should really check to make sure the electrical system does what it's supposed to do. Eventually this car is getting on the road and DRIVEN! If you're ever in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (the UP), you might see this in 2017. I can't wait for that, myself!

 

As Joe said the two piece windshield to one piece was a mid year change but if you need a new windshield the a single piece windshield will fit in with no problems.... Tedd
