1950 olds 88 brake shoes?

hi all,
I went to AutoZone and picked up the brake shoes front and rear. they say they are the same for both AutoZone part#264. I've been trying to get them on but they just don't seem like the correct shoes. the new shoes are much wider. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have any pictures of the old vs the new? If they are too wide the drum won't seat properly wedged out by the shoes.

I know buying from local guys is handy but I have never gotten wrong parts from Fusick, not saying they won't but they know Oldsmobiles.

If your pictures are to high of resolution you will have to resize them down to where this site can except them. There is a sticky on the newbie forum that can explain it better than I....Tedd

1950 Olds Brake Shoes

264 is +++++ NOT +++++ CORRECT..............

264 is a Ford shoe -- will now align or sit accurately -- the only basic thing
that is right is that it is 1n 11" x 2 1/2" webbed shoe.....

The CORRECT # is # 160 -- and that is OBSOLETE through regular channels.

I have the Front & Rear Shoes -- the Front is 11" x 2 1/2".
the Rear is 11" x 2"....

Call me -- Craig -- 516 - 485 - 1935.... New York.......
