1948 Part needed - Be Aware
Hello,
I was recently looking for a part for my 48 Olds and received a private message that someone had it.
I contacted them and they told me they had it. I asked for a pic and they told me it was already boxed up, however it was in "mint" condition. First red flag. 1948 non NOS in "mint"?
After a half dozen e-mails (very quick replies from seller) I was very close to sending funds via Venmo.
I once again politely asked for a pic, even though I was told it was boxed up and no more response.
Has anyone on this site ever experienced something like that?
Thanks

Beware, Anyone that gets an e-mail from what looked just like a Harbor Freight ad/ offer for a free tool for answering a questioner, simple, quick, looked original and is a SCAM. I've received it twice, I must look gullible. Just too good to be true. Harbor Freight sent a E-mail with a disclaimer to watch out for this ad It is not from them...Tedd
The member in question and no offense to them, is Asak83, please let me know if any other members received similar pm's.
Tedd, I receive hundreds of phishing emails every month for free crap from a multitude of sources, or that someone has tried to access one of my accounts on websites, insurance scams, sex enhancement paraphernalia, or businesses trying to drum up business. My email account is about 20 years old.
