1927 REO ? Please Inform

I'm hoping it is OK to post REO on this forum. Anyway I found a 1927 REO Wolverine. It is in original shape and is complete. All the wood is in very good condition and all the parts are there. Any Idea what it is worth? Please Help.

Absolutely! As to the value of the vehicle, that would be real tough to say. Any more information on it's condition or photos? Anything?

Jaunty75 may be able to make a stab at it as he seems to have a finger on the pulse of car values.

Actually, all I have my finger on is the section of the Old Cars Price Guide that pertains to Oldsmobiles!

The OCPG does not go back before 1930. 1930 REO models were apparently all called "Flying Clouds," and prices for them in #6 condition (parts cars only) are in the $500 to $750 range. In good running condition but needing restoration, the values are in the $2500 to $4000 range. In showroom condition, they're in the $9500 to $14,000 range. There are probably very few 1930, let alone 1927, REOs changing hands these days, so actual pricing data is certainly close to non-existent, and the above values are most likely based on selling prices of vehicles of comparable vintage, condition, and desirability as much as they are on the actual selling prices of 1930 REOs.

Well guys the car is rust free wears its original paint for the most part. Pretty much original and in very nice unrestored condition. Good wheels and tires. I am pretty much looking for anyone who has ever seen one of these sell and for how much. I really am considering buying it. I may resell it after I get it running ect...... car drove into storage and will run again pretty much with a minimal amount of work. I don't have any pics to post or I would. Really cool car!

Welcome to CO

Sounds like a nice project. These cars are more like art work to me. Can't wait to see it

Well, the more under 6K you are, the better!

But even at right around $6,000, I think the price is reasonable. It looks solid as you've said, and how often do you come across something like this in this condition? You might never see one again in your lifetime, and that's assuming you spent the rest of your life looking.

Not a bad price, and a good looking car. Other models included the top of the line Royale Cloud, and of course the Speedwagon, which I would like to have.

That car looks to be in pretty good shape from the photos. I agree that if it is running or close to it then you are in the ballpark. Are those tires radial? It's hard to tell. If they are then it would indicate that there has at least been a recent attempt to make it road worthy.

What a beauty!
If I had the space, I would get it for sure. Very nice - would draw a crowd at shows due to their rarity.
If rust is minimal, you should go for it.

I personally think you scored in a big way. Congratulations, and post some pictures of the F85, also. Understand the "room" thing, also!!!
