I don't recall exactly, but it's something like 12 quarts.
What will happen is that you'll fill it up to where it just touches the bottom tip of the dipstick, and you'll think, "Just one more quart to go," and you'll add another quart, and the level won't move, then you'll add another, then another, then another, and you'll keep looking underneath for a leak, because there's no way all of that ATF is still inside there, but sooner or later, usually after you have stopped checking carefully, you'll overfill it, and then curse as you try to suck it out through the fill tube.
