slim jim rear seal install ?'s

Is removing and installing a new rear seal an easy job? I noticed its leaking when I was under the car when i took it in for inspection. just wondering if its a simple job to do at home or if i should have it done somewhere. know how much a shop might charge for doing it? any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first olds (a 62 F-85) so im new to these oddball transmissions.
