Unhappy Who wants a turbo 400?

OK I'm reluctant to do this, but I'm running out of room in the basement garage.

I replaced the original turbo 400 in my Turnpike Cruiser last summer with a nicely build 700R. The turbo 400 was the factory transmission on this car. 'IF' I remember correctly it had the same markings as the 442 turbo 400 for the same year. Something like 'HO' or 'OH' - what ever.

It still shift/works great. It has somewhere between 80k/100k miles since it was gone through. It has a B&M shift kit installed with a good second gear shift. The down side, it leaks like a sieve. When in 'Drive' it's quite lazy and has always shifted early. But has nice firm shifts when shifting manually.

It also has the 'switch-pitch' converter with it.

You can get this trans for the price of - nothing, $0, nada, zip. It's free to good home to anyone that wants it. The catch is I don't want to deal with shipping this thing, you will need to pick it at my house here in Marietta, GA.

If no takers, it's off to the dump with it. I just would like to see someone make use of it instead of taking it to the dump.

Any takers?

Too bad you aren't in OK or TX. Try putting it in craigslist for cheap. Even if you make $50 on it that would be more than you will get for scrap.

This is right in Johns (eightupman) wheel house, but I don't know if he's going to be in that area any time soon.
