Pivot ball on 455 FA block
Pivot ball on 455 FA block
Hey guys have been having trouble with clutches etc, I have a late model Fa block no boss for the pivot ball mount I fabbed a bracket that doesn't work as I would like it, question does anyone make a bracket to mount this pivot ball for these motors also what size is the crank supposed to be drilled for installation of the pilot bearing seems when they drilled mine it is a little small, bearing will go in but is way to tight, I was wondering would one of the adapter bearings (auto- Manuel that Mondello) and others sale could be a cure for this tight bearing situation I don't want to pull this motor out at the time being- When I do again I have found an E block out of 67 442 that will be going in and the 455 will become an Auto Trans. I will also mention I have two bell housings one is a lakewood scatter shield that I would like to Run but also have a BOP aluminium bell housing, the aluminum has 2 holes drilled on a flat pad in the cutout where the clutch fork comes out of the Bell housing, some one was saying some chevy trucks used these 2 hole for mounting the pivot ball. Any help would be greatly appreciated
