Transmission cable floor hole?

Transmission cable floor hole?
Does anyone know if this is normal on a 69 442, the hole in the floor for the trans cable doesn't line up with cable bracket on shifter. Or do I have something not right? Thanks

I have seen this many times. I had one so far off that the cable was broken and it was a factory install. My W-30 was so far off that we welded the hole shut and cut a new one.
