Driveshaft Differences
The GM Parts manual lists driveshaft number 7844585 as fitting the 84 Hurst/Olds and the 85-87 442. There's a different driveshaft listed for all other Cutlass models from 82-88, 7827672. Anyone know what the difference is?
BTW, the 83 H/O has a one year only number, 7833110.

The '84-'87 VIN 9 cars (H/O and 442) used an 8.5" rear, which required a 1" shorter driveshaft.
As for the '83 H/O, it may have been due to the combination 200-4R and 7.5" rear... can't remember if that was available in all Cutlass models that year already, or it was H/O only until '84.
