455 Flywheel and Delmont 88 4 Speed Conversion
I'm changing my 1967 Delmont 88 to a 4 speed and the flywheel has a removable weight. The flex plate that was removed also has a weight and it worked fine. Should an early 70's 455 have a weight on the flywheel? With all other things being equal, and the fact that the flex plate worked fine with a weight (and the 425 vibration damper) I'll probably put the weight on... I think.
Were the early 70's 455's internally or externally balanced?
Related--it appears that a Camaro clutch pedal will work fine next to the existing brake pedal. I'll have to trim the brake pedal bushing and will be welding a steel bushing to the Camaro clutch pedal--to give it stability since the clutch master cylinder will be a few inches to the left of the center of the clutch pedal. I'll post again if (when) this actually works.

I've never seen a manual transmission flywheel with a weight. I'm used to seeing drill holes in it that can have pins placed in them to balance the flywheel. Can you post pictures of what you have?
