the correct clutch

I need a little help please. I have installed my clutch now, and i can not feel any free travel. I am worried that I have the wrong clutch.
I do not have the body on the frame, so I am only going by the feel of the arm movement by hand, I don't feel any.
Back when I was driving this car I replaced the clutch, and it was the opposite. I had the rod adjusted all the way out, and I still had to hit the floor with the pedal to get it in gear. Can anyone tell me the correct part number for this car? I have the all numbers matching 1972 442 with 350 / 4 bbl. and 4 speed.
The body is going back on in a few weeks, and I want to get this done first.
Thanks for any help on this.

If you've the appropriate throw-out bearing, you should be able to move the fork about a half-inch.
You could remove the boot and take a peek at whats going on.
