Ok guys!! Does the top line on a turbo 400 go to the top on the radiator or bottom?? I’ve found both on the net!! Thank you

I believe both the TH350 & TH400 are same routing - UPPER to UPPER & LOWER to LOWER (is how I remember it); or, TOP to TOP & BOTTOM to BOTTOM.

IOW, UPPER transmission port/fitting/pipe to UPPER radiator transmission cooler port/fitting.

On the transmission, the lower pipe is the feed pipe (FROM the transmission TO the radiator transmission cooler). Hot transmission oil exits the transmission at the lower pipe and travels TO the LOWER port/fitting of the radiator transmission cooler. Obviously, the UPPER pipe returns cold transmission oil to the UPPER transmission port/fitting.

Again, the simplest (I've found) is TOP to TOP, BOTTOM to BOTTOM (UPPER to UPPER, LOWER to LOWER).

I thought about this & I suppose you'd like to know what those transmission lines look like in their normal OEM configurations. My 1970 PIM has terrible images of the transmission cooler lines, but there is a definitive OEM diagram at this link. Just follow the TO COOLER & FROM COOLER pipes & you'll note the bends in the pipes.
