Hi there I would like to upgrade the torque converter on my 1969 Oldsmobile delta 88, 455 engine , the car engine is stock but i guess I would like for it to go a little faster, faster take off, it Is very decent now being stock but a little bit more juice will be nice, currently have dual exhaust super 10 flowmaster, with the Thornton s w exhaust manifolds, 455 torker intake manifold, edelbrock carburetor 1407 750 CFM, HEI distributor, which torque converter do you guys recommend, I believe this cars have the th375 transmission does a th 400 torque convert fit? Any help will be appreciated thank you

 

You don't mention your gear ratio. Changing rear end gearing may be a better choice if you are running a high ratio gear set.

 

Sorry not very sure about that car is very stock but I don't know exactly gear ratio how would I know?

 

Build ticket would indicate. Others on here may chime in with what that model of car typically came from the factory with.
Is it a one wheel burner when you get it to spin out?

If you do rear end gear, may look at limited slip as well.
