Solenoid 400 turbo 1971 442

I sourced a new down shift switch that mounts to the accelerator pedal and looking for the solenoid thats mounted on the transmission.
Fasick says it's discontinued
Anyone have a source

No clue if anyone makes a replacement. Any transmission shop should be able to locate one. They are very easy to test.

Find the tiny orifice in the mounting face. Use a rubber tipped blow gun, apply 80-90psi of air, there should be no leaks. Now use a battery charger, power supply, jumper wires, whatever, ground the solenoid mounting surface, apply 22 volts to the wire, apply air again to the orifice. Now there should be huge are leak, remove the power, the leak should immediately seal.

not much too it.
