Removing crossmember from a 1975

Does anyone know how to remove the transmission crossmember from a 1975 Cutlass Salon? I have to replace the transmission & can not get the crossmember out, it it hits the floor pans or something no matter what I try.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

im not familiar w the 75 but most just unbolt from the frame and trans and slide out.

Sometimes the frame can be bent from someone jacking on an unboxed area of the frame if this is the case just bend the frame back w a big crescent wrench or similar

Remove the rubber trans mount from the trans or the cross member. Lower the exhaust head pipe(s).
