I'm installing a Transgo shift kit on a TH350. This trans came out of a car I know nothing about. I test drove it before taking the trans out and it manually shifted thru all 3 gears fine. I took the valve body off and found 3 out of the 4 check ***** are missing. I know I didnt drop them. the trans is out of the car. So Transgo kit requires all of the check ***** in their instructions. Why is there check ***** missing? are there other shift kits that only require 1 check ball? maybe this trans already had a kit installed. Im not moving foward with this unless I know whats up with the missing check balss and if thats correct. please help. thanks, Eric

 

I am not an expert on this so when I had questions about installing the TransGo kit I called them and talked to their tech folks.
