Does anyone know what years Hydramatics started in 2nd gear? I am assuming 1950 to Dual Range 1956s?

I can tell you a 54 does start in first. There was a long thread on this a while back. The search function is you friend. I think it was 49-51 but I might be wrong.

Thanks Tedd. I think it was a senior moment. Of course my 54 starts in 1st although it doesn't stay there very long. I edited my post to read correctly. Hope all is going well and you are having fun with the Bimmer.
