Question Differential ID Problem

Trying to change the differential fluid on my car and can't figure out if it takes the regular stuff or the special anti-whatever lubricant. I guess the id is suppossed to be on the front of the passenger side axle tube but all I can make out is "0 288". I think there is supposed to be some letters in there somewhere but even after wirebrushing at it I don't see anything there. Any tips? I'm pretty sure it just takes the regular lubricant.
Thanks so much.

My manual says there should be a two letter code right before the "288" which I am assuming is the manufacture day?

Lift ONE rear wheel
If it spins and turns the drive shaft, then there is no LSD/posi, so no additive needed

You will have the cover off anyhow right? At that point you can visually discern if there are just differential gears or some additional pieces for LSD [Limited Slip Differential; not the hallucinogen].

Worst case, get the posi additive- it can do no harm in a std open differential.
