425 4 speed help...
hey guys, It's been a while since i've been online, hope everyone in the oldsmobile world is doing well.. first good news is i just saved an all original 65 f85 from a local scrapman's flatbed (for my sons first car) more importantly.. i'm still running the 425 in my 64 f85 and trying to peice together everything i need to convert it to a 4 speed. and ive been running into some locals telling me the back of my crank might not be drilled for the pilot bearing because my motor is out of a 66 toronado which wasnt available in a manual tranny... if searched the forums but i can't seem to find any threads, with anyone speaking of this specific problem.. any help would be great .. thanks in advance

Here's an older thread but it has some good information on drilling/cutting for a pilot bearing or bushing. I had a crank done for a 1965 400 engine and I'm pleased with how it turned out. My machine shop cut it on a lathe. John
