Weird leak th400

Hi all,
Still working on the 71 vert pile of boxes car. Pile much smaller, strange transmission leak. The trans was rebuilt by a shop in nj 6yrs ago, hasn't been anywhere but in a garage til a few weeks ago. I put the trans in, set the cable, all well. Filled up tranny, started it up, ran it for 10 minutes, topped it off. Ran it up and down the driveway, still good. It sat for a few days, then I saw a fairly large puddle underneath (after sitting a few days). I thought I overfilled, cleaned it up. Moved the car 2 weeks later, last Sunday, and no leak. Looked underneath every night, happy no drips. Tonight, now Thursday, I look underneath, large puddle again! Never ran it since Sunday.
What could cause this delayed leak? Never heard of this before.
Any thoughts?

Check all the minor things like dip stick. ( I had a similar issue with a dip stick ) Check the speedo gear . If this trans was rebuilt you might be able to trace the leak if its a nice clean case. I have heard of seals swelling up when the car is driven and over time when parked they dry out and leak . I had a th350 trans that it seemed like that was the issue.

Makes sense , maybe the fluid all drains back and comes from the dipstick oring. Will check it out, thanks
