"turbo hydramatic 350" = 350cui?

hey,

im facing some trouble with my reverse gear, yet do i have a manual for my 1975 cutlass supreme with the 350 v8.

however, the manual sports four different transmission systems, namely 350, 375, 400, 425.

how do i know which one of those is built in my car? is there a relation to the displacement of 350 cubic inches in the transmission's name?

greets,
sbstr

There is no relationship between the displacement of the engine and the type of transmission, at least not in the way you are thinking.

If I had to bet money, I would say that your car has a TH 350. Only because it has a SBO and it's a 1975 Cutlass. However, someone may have swapped a TH 400 into your car for one reason or another.

The easiest way to identify your transmission is to look at the transmission pan.

This is what a TH 350 transmission pan looks like:

This is what a TH 400 transmission pan looks like:

Of course, the stock pans aren't as deep and they won't have ribs machined into the bottom side.
