Turbo 400 Shift Cable Bracket question

Hello,

I just read I need the correct shift cable bracket as I am going from a TH350 to a 400. Is this the correct one to get? Strange I put in 72 Olds Cutlass S and it said no, yet it says it fits Chevelle to 72 with a TH400?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SHIFT...Q5fAccessories

Also I have the dual gate shifter as well.

Thanks!

I bought mine at The Parts Place and it looked a little different but that will probably work

Great! With picture too Thanks Trip. I think I need to make a list of things I need. This could get costly Oh...know anything about the differences of the slip yoke? I have to get one of those too, but I think my transmission is out of a 65 or 66 Pontiac. Not sure if they changed them for certain model years. I saw something about a big and small yoke. Thanks

Yes you'll need a TH400 specific yoke and you might even need a shortened drive shaft. I'm in the middle of switching out my ST300 to the TH400 right now. Just got it all back together except for the exhaust which I'm working on this week.

Yeah I think I read having to cut it down 3/4 inch, but of course will measure all of that stuff 1st before running to the driveshaft shop. I am sure they have yokes, but the question will be at what cost? So you are in the same boat as me. So eager to get everything done, but things always coming up as something that is needed to finish it. My universal radiator from Jegs is waiting on my doorstep. Not looking forward to making that fit, but for $150 being a 2 Row 1" aluminum crossflow...I cannot complain. Just hope it matches close to the original They were on sale this week by the way. It was the 31x19 one that I hope will work.

Once that exhaust is on it's time for a ride. It's finally getting nice here and the drop top loves the summer.
