Turbo 350 Shift Points WOT?

I recently checked my stock 72 Cutlass 350 Turbo 350 shift points and feel they are way too low and want to change them. Has anyone changed their shift points by recalibrating their Governor? Does anyone know what the stock turbo 350 weights (Grams) are? I'm looking for WOT shift points in the 4800-5200 range

My current shift points at WOT are:

1-2 is at 3500 rpm
2-3 is at 3000 rpm

Fyi

Just for a comparison I can tell you that the original T350 trans in my 1970 Cutlass W-31 has WOT shifts of 1-2 @ 5600 & 2-3 @ 6200. The trans has been rebuilt & a shift kit added but it works sweet!

somehow those WOT shift points seem rediculously low 3500rpm and 3000 rpm ?

what was the factory S shift points ? I would guess 4800 +-. maybe there is something more than the governor dictating the low shift points ?

Original 1972 with 69k miles and no passing kickdown. I've tested this numerous times and my memory tach has been spot on those numbers every time. If I manually shift from 1 to 2 at 4800 + or - and leave it in 2nd, it will automatically shift itself into 3rd around 3800-4000. Never monky'd with street cars and have only run manual valve body/transbrake stuff. This a stock 350 2 bbl motor with single exhaust, so maybe that plays a part?

I'm all over the place. Ripping the whole drivetrain out and replacing rear end forward. Stock eliminator process is being kicked off in the fall. 270hp/455 turbo 350 combo will be going in. I have grade PTS (super stock) that I want to make use of. Plus after talking to Johnny Williams this weekend that conversation has put me in high gear. I will set it up to run 2-3 under the index. I wavered putting in a sbc or a bbc, but won't do it to my 72 cutlass. I just love stock and SS classes too much

Keeping everything for now. It will be a good 1-2 years before I decide on getting rid of anything.
