I've read about a few guys who have fabbed an aluminum spacer, using the bellhousing for a pattern. Also, I've read complaints that the splines on the input weren't cut far enough back. I believe there are a few different TB' heights.? Keep us posted, I have a buddy with a similar issue in a Corvette.

Well after spending most of the morning fabricating a spacer plate because of my bad math was a waste of time,i didnt need it or have to shim my setup.I bought a PRW SFI flywheel and a Centerforce dual friction clutch and a GM Hydromax kit just got the transmission installed clearance is in within specs. No problem with the splines on mine i had lots of room there.

I went with the stock setup with the clutch. Less hassle and I like how the manual has a feel to it. You are going to absolutely love this tranny! Pun intended! Mine has the .64 overdrive and it cruises on the highway like a regular car. I have 3.73s out back and the buzzing was too much for the BBO. Hence the Tremec. Bring on Power Tour! I'm doing the leg between Crown Point, Ind, and Iowa. Can't wait. The motor now has 1000 miles on it and runs like a champ.

I built a tough t-5 3 or so years ago, minor floor work, its great. Shifts so much better than the muncie. I dont race it but i do thrash it, no problem. If i ever got real traction on take off i might be in trouble.

70 mph at 2300 rpm, 3:25 rear end.

Had my car out finally Tremec works flawlessly shifts awesome.Had a vibration in my car gone now so i blame that on my 2004r.I have a couple of bugs to get out.I changed from a 750 eldelbrock to a 650 holley ultra car sounds awesome at 4300 it broke tires loose in 3rd but will not go over 4300 dont know if it is a timing issue or carb although eldelbrock did the same thing.
