Good evening Oldsmobile enthusiasts! I'm in need of some assistance with finding correct fittings for my transmission hoses. I'm using the braided transmission hoses and I am in search of some an6 to 5/16 inch 90 degree fitting. Any help will do. Thanks!

 

You can do a 45* fitting in the case, and use a 45* fitting to make a 90* degree turn, but a 90 won’t fit in the case. The end of the fitting hits the bellhousing long before it’s tight.

Keep in mind, just about every GM transmission uses fittings with sealing washers. Pipe thread will fit, but it’s really easy to crack the case.
