i have a th400 that was rebuilt by previous owner. after rebuild, it sat under a tarp outside for about 2 yrs. when installed it made a loud howling noise and never pulled. i am told by a local buick man that it is the pump. i am looking to rebuild it myself and was interested in what type of rebuild kit to put into it. it is behind a 425 at super rocket specs. i need to know whether a racing rebuild kit or a normal kit would be best for weekend driving on the street. since a racing kit is only a little more money, would it be more beneficial or cause more problems? what stall rate torque converter should i look for? thanks for info you may be able to offer
