TH350 Dipstick length?

Well apparently the dipstick that came with my TH350 is not the right one. It should have been apparent when it took more fluid than expected, and when it showed at the "add 1pt" line, adding 1pt put it all the way up the fill tube. Needless to say even after drawing it back down on the stick it ended with puking fluid everywhere.

I see there's several different lengths- any idea what is typical for a Cutlass, or any way to verify?

I have to ask, when you checked your fluid level was the engine running and warmed up?

Not fully warmed up, but running. I haven't had any issues in the past checking it "lukewarm", certainly not puking fluid out the dipstick tube.

Going according to OPGI it looks like it should be 28-5/8":

I'll have to measure it and see if it's the right one.

Measured the dipstick- 27-1/2". Low side is 1-1/8" from the tip, high side is 1-3/4" from the tip. Might have to order a new one.
