Hey everyone. Was wondering how long the dipstick is on a 72 cutlass engine. I had my engine rebuilt and put back in the car but I guess the crank somehow snapped my original dipstick and broke the tube. Trying to make my own dipstick but was wondering the length.. Thanks!

 

Also, how long is the piece of dipstick tube that holds it in the engine. So, from the lip to the end. I have to somehow fish the old piece out.

 

Tube 9 5/8,from block flange to top. Dipstick 18 inches,from bottom tip to top of the cap that stops aganist the tube top.
