What length is the tailshaft (long, short etc.) on a OG turbo 400 in a 1968 442?

 

Every single A-body car with a TH400 came from the factory with a short tailshaft except the 67-72 Vista and the 67-69 SportWagon.

 

Thanks Joe, Mine has a (I hate to admit it) Chevy 350/350 with a Chevy turbo 400 I bought it with. I'm looking for an OG trans for it and now I know the correct shaft length. Do you happen to know how long a short shaft output housing is?

 

4" for the short tailhousing, 9" for the long one, and 13" for the really long one.
