Shifter and linkage

BAll I need is the correct shifter for a 72" 4 speed with a console and the install kit for a 451 muncy . The new kits from hurst shifters on line won't work with my original shifter so I'm going to all new. I have part numbers for a 3918792 shifter ( correct for the car n console) and a 3736819 install kit for a 451 muncy 66"-68" gto Does any one truly know if I can mate these two together successfully??? The trans and everything else is in and done ! Can't wait to cruiz

Shifter an linkages

Ok guys I think I have the rot forum now. I am a dinosaur wen it comes to the web. 72 olds with a mondello 510 stroker is ready to go all but the shifter and linkages. I'm putting a 451 muncy ( studs stick out) into a 72 cutlass with a factory 4 sp console. The new linkages won't work with my original hurst comp plus so I am going all new from hurst shifters on line. I have a shifted number 3918792 for the console and an install kit 3736819 for a 66-68 gto ! I have been told that u need to match the install kit to the trans and the shifter to the car and console ! But no one seems to know for sure ? Must I buy a 452 muncy to make this all work ?? Fit to b tied as everything has gone wrong so far on this convertion and I have purchased the best parts I could afford ! Thank you for your help
