Seal removal Tool

I need to replace the seal on the shift shaft on my 400 transmission. What tool are you gentleman using? Before I order this one is there any other suggestions.

Thanks

I have that tool, it works well. Make sure you file off the burr that forms where the shifter cable bracket bottoms on the shaft. Run your fingers over the squared off shoulder, if you can feel a lip it will cut the seal.

Seal tool

If you don't want the tool, take a decent pick 2 sided and Grind the staight pic on both side. You'll have a small rectangular shape pic. Pull or cut other end off. Stick it into rubber part of seal and pry at 45 degree angle. Careful not to scrap or scratch the shifter shaft. Pound new seal in with socket.
