Question Rubber with steel core Transmission Pan Gasket for TH350

Looking to try a rubbery Transmission Pan Gasket this year on '72 TH350 to hopefully slow the leaking.

This Moroso 93102 (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mor-93102) says "Designed to be used with Moroso's aluminum transmission pans that have a flat, machined surface. Do not use with a conventional stamped steel pan."

Any recommendations for one that will go on a stock transmission?

Were you able to get the pan removed w/o removing the cross member?

This is from the summit web site:
Transmission leaks, left alone or gone unnoticed, your transmission is either damaged or dies. It's just that simple. Ensure this never happens with LubeLocker transmission gaskets. LubeLocker's unique construction features a steel core with a rubber coating, but the real magic is in the elastomer beading applied to the gasket face. This beading provides a dry, leaf-free seal and requires no additional sealants like RTV to keep your transmission fluid where it belongs. LubeLocker offers a wide range of transmission pan gaskets that cover most popular hot rods, drag cars, rock climbers, off-road trucks, and street cruisers.

It's good to know that they finally developed a gasket that keeps foliage out of our transmissions
