Painting the case

Seen trans cases painted all sorts of colors, but what's the best for dissapaiting heat for long lasting, aluminum silver or hi temp black?

I prefer to just clean it and leave it bare. However I've seen them all different colors and don't think any one color will make a dramatic difference in temp.

Flat black radiates heat best.

Gloss silver holds on to heat best.

That's why radiators and heater cores are painted black.

But, do you really want something else radiating heat right underneath you?
Transmissions are cooled by oil and oil coolers, not by direct radiation.
