OW tag = WRONG
OW tag = WRONG
great, another fake part and wrong at that - anyone ever see a 70 OW tag like this - yellow! and the stamp font isn't even close from what I remember

Bzzzzzzt. '70 was black.
As for the yellow tag on eBay, I can't vouch for the details of color or font, but I do know that some Buick GSs received the Olds OW transmission, and that the Buick OW tag was different than the Olds OW tag. That eBay tag looks similar to the Buick tags I've seen. FWIW, Buick also stamped more information on the tag than Olds did. (Actually, I'm sure the Hydramatic plant stamped the tags, but it was done to Olds and Buick's specification.)

I make a decal for the T-400 that goes over your metal trans tag and the tag in the auction is wrong for Oldsmobile. From what I've seen Brian the 70 tag is blue.

The blue is a little off color. The decal is sitting on a aluminum tag so it might look a little fuzzy.

The tag on the left is a NOS tag. If you take a good look you can see differences in the fonts on the tag I make.

Well if you guys say you've seen blue '70 TH400 tags, I won't argue. I can't dispute your experience.
But every 1970 TH400 tag of which I've taken note was black. (OK, I'll admit I haven't noted that many; I don't crawl under every car I see.)
And there's a post on V8Buick by someone who claims that the tags rotated on a three year cycle:
Blue......65, 68, 71
Yellow...66, 69, 72
Black.....67, 70, but by '73 they switched the black to red.
I welcome stories of others' experiences.
