No Media: Turbo 400 Filter Change

I'm changing the fluid & filter on a friends car and I find the old filter has no media in it. Has anyone else ever seen this?

Yes, I found one like that in a TH400 where the filter had not been changed for many years. Looks like the foam filter has dissolved, but look in the tube grommet you may still see some filter material.

It's common. I have seen filters lime that for years. One of these days ill cut one open, kinda curious how much filter media is really in there.
