Question no kickdown on 400

hey, my 400 trans my brother in law told me has no kickdown for passing gear hooked and he sees no way of hooking one up, i have the 403/400 turbo setup, and trans was just rebuilt before i traded for it, so what are my options? i now just manually shift down to the next gear. also it has a eldelbrock 4 barrell if that makes a diff. thanks.

B & M transmissions makes a kickdown switch the mounts to your carb linkage on the intake manifold. I installed one on my 455 on my 57 Olds, works great

All you need is a switch controlled by the throttle that provides +12V to the solenoid terminal on the trans at wide open throttle. You can either retrofit a factory switch or use an aftermarket one as suggested above.
