modulator

I want to adjust the modulator on my turbo 400 to stretch the shifts a little more.Do you turn clockwise or counter clockwise? Also is it a allen screw or skinny flat head screwdriver? Thanks.

You can adjust the modulator with a small slotted screwdriver. Turn the adjustment screw clockwise to raise shift points and counter-clockwise to lower shift points. Note, the shift point change is minimal, around 5 mph total. Also you can turn the screw too far clockwise to where it will fall inside the modulator rendering the adjustment useless.

You can change shifts points 2-4mph at most. If you need a bigger change, you need to play around with the governor.
