Kick down switch Super Turbine

I'm supposed to have 12V at the kick down switch with ignition key on, right? If not, (I don't) where should I be getting the voltage from? Volt meter is only reading .03 at the red wire when disconnected at switch. ('65 F85) Thanks

Could be debris or wear inside the switch or could be a bare spot on the wire. Don't forget the wire from the switch to the trans, especially where it passes near the exhaust.

Checked wires from switch to tranny, no issues found except could be a tighter connection on tranny side would be nice.
Anyway, got to drive around to run a few errands. Working great and so far no blown fuses.
Got to get alignment tomorrow since newly installed coil springs on all 4 corners. mercy, what an improvement!
