Jet away gurgling sound

I have a 1957 Olds 88 J-2. Had the trans rebuilt, it makes a gurgling sound (like your stomach when it’s hungry) when taking off and when it shifts gears. Any ideas of the cure.

IF this was a TH350 which it isn't...I'd look for a bad or missing seal at the oil pickup at the filter or possibly reversed cooling lines to the rad. I don't know specifics about that transmission but the same principles may apply.

Good luck!!!

Are you sure the noise is coming from the transmission and not from the heater core or radiator? Do you have any shudder taking off? And does the transmission dip stick show any froth or bubbles?..... Tedd
