Hughes GM-20 or GM-25

I知 looking at getting the converter for my 71 Cutlass, my engine is a 350 with 7 heads and flat top pistons, camshaft is comp XE268H and recommends 1800+ stall, I have 3.73 gears in the car but am considering changing to 3.4-3.55 for better cruising rpm痴 , just wondering if I知 safe going with the GM-20 or do I need to go to the GM-25. Not building a race car just a street/cruiser.

The 2500 will be fine. You won't start getting that slipping clutch feel from the torque converter until you get into the 3000 stall range.

I looked up the cam specs and that one is 224ー / 230ー @ .050" lift, so yeah, I'd go with the 2500 RPM converter. Same one I have and I think you will like it.
