HELP newbie needs help with TH350

HELP newbie needs help with TH350

OK so I got my trans back guy was rude with how he handled it but I can fix that lol my problem is this broken piece I found in the pan IMG_20140514_162339_zpssvik2w2g.jpg idk where it goes every linkage AMD the detent cable seem very strong and tight like it should so I plan on a fluid and filter change maybe torque converter just to have a useable tranny should I be concerned also there we're two bolts missing from the trans to begin with and also no metal shavings in tranny

Can you retype this with some punctuation and clarification of which two bolts were missing? I am having a hard time understanding this.

Yes sorry I mean pan bolts...I was thinking maybe someone did a fluid change and lost 2pan bolts

Pan bolts are an easy replacement. Your pic doesn't show what's in the pan very well.

Its beside the black spot its a trapezoid shape

You might clean it off and snap another pic for those that cant see it very well. I have no idea what that piece is. While it's off I always put a small magnet in my trans pans.

I will I hope it is just a piece that was dropped in the pan without anyone realizing it

Is it loose? Is it metal? Is it gasket?
Sometimes peeps would glue magnets into the pans to attract metal shards or filing. Too many unanswered things.....

It could be a metal gasket idk but its loose and non magnetic
